The organization’s name means ‘best for women’ and their program may be your ticket in finishing your college degree. The applications should be submitted before December 1 of every year. You can email your application to a region contact before the said date.

What are the eligibility requirements? Single mothers usually serve as the primary financial provider of the family, and so you will definitely qualify. Aside from that, you should be living in any of the member states of Soroptimist including US, Venezuela, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Guam, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Panama, Canada, Mexico, Korea, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, and Bolivia. If you don’t live in these countries, you will not be eligible.

The organization will also evaluate the financial need of the single mother. As an applicant, you should not be related to any of the employees of the organization, and you should not have been a previous recipient of the program. If you meet all these requirements, then you can fill out the application form from the website of Soroptimist.

Fill out the form completely. Click ‘file’ then chose ‘save as’. The default filename will appear as WOAonlineappLG.pdf; now, you will need to change the ‘LG’ into your initials and then click ‘save’. Don’t forget to get two references persons because they will also need to fill out the reference form.

You can simply email your application to the designated regional office in your country or state, but you must do this before December 1. To determine the applicable region, you can check out the website of Soroptimist for details. Don’t send your applications directly to the headquarters at Philadelphia because it will not be entertained.
