It Is Happening: Obama Grants For Mothers To Return Back To Schools

Poverty and education are inversely related. Where there is education, poverty cannot survive. Our mind knows this fact, but hardly any of us thinks about it in a way which can shape others lives. For instance, mothers are always thought about at the last of the queue. Because of this, they are still remaining backward in the field of education and are not qualified enough to work at the coveted offices. President Obama is bringing out his notion of battling poverty with books and thus, has raised the concern of unemployment to be directly related to the lack of education and hence, there comes the Obama’s grants for mothers who intend to return to schools and colleges and gather their school books and start all over again.

Now, that is a fresh piece of news. So, the next question is ‘How is the federal government working towards providing grants and scholarships?’ Federal government understands the urgency of the situation and has devised programs in which once you qualify for the grant or scholarship, the government pays for the entire education fees, which is a really awesome move showing that they really care for the mothers. Also, Obama’s first initiative after taking over the administration was to enhance the Federal Pell Grants. It feels great to know that the Pell grants have been increased from their initial amount of $4010 to $5100 this year and additionally, the government has reserved $17 billion towards this purpose. Also, the government has decided to utilize $30 billion in federal grants and $40 billion in state grants for the benefit of the mothers.

The American Opportunity Tax Credit program is also a kind gesture from the administration to straighten out things by waving off the initial $4000 fees of higher education to almost all the Americans. President Obama believes in making education as accessible as possible and the best way to trigger the mothers to return to schools would be to provide financial aid. Other federal grants working towards the same cause are the FSEOG, National SMART grant, TEACH grant and so on.

To raise the concern of education to the mothers, the idea has been popularized through Obama’s ‘Moms return to school’ program. The name of the program itself hits the target perfectly well, making the mothers think over that they can pursue their education at any age, irrespective of their duties. The online study aspect of the program is also a key highlight, emphasizing the fact that the program is really concerned on the plight of the mothers and aspires in providing the necessary facilities to the mothers to reach their goal.

In these bread-butter times, where the economy is drastically affected, the lives of the citizens are widely impaired too. But, this is the right opportunity to understand and analyze our vices and with the Obama grants for mothers to return back to school, is a wonderful opportunity put forward to strengthen their roots and secure the future.
