Denial

Dealing With A Minnesota Disability Benefits Denial

One thing you must be prepared for when you begin to apply for Minnesota disability benefits is to be rejected initially. It is the sad state of affairs having to with fraudulent claims that leads to most requests being denied initially to weed out the serious individuals in need of assistance from those looking for a free ride. The most important thing to remember when you are applying for Minnesota Social Security disability assistance is not to get discouraged and give up too soon.

The Facts

Most every social security claim for disability is denied during the initial stage. Many people who were just looking for an easy alternative to work or a free ride give up and go get a job at this point. Those with a serious condition preventing them from being able to work must press on into the appeal process. When the initial claim is denied, you are given a 60 day time frame to appeal the decision in Minnesota.

At this point, if you have not gotten the assistance of a social security attorney, you may want to do just that. While it is possible for you to file an appeal yourself, the process is even more involved than the initial application. The attorney will resubmit the appeal on your behalf and begin gathering the additional documentation that is required to appeal.

It’s not Just a River in Egypt

If you again hear the term denial in response to your appeal, the fight isn’t over just yet. Most of the times if an appeal is submitted with an attorney it will be approved. If it is not, a hearing must be requested within another 60 day time window.

At this hearing you will be required to appear along with your attorney in front of a social security appeal Judge to present your case. The judge will hear your case and can even call in expert physicians and witnesses to help make a decision. If this decision does not go your way you may think you are out of done, that is not the case, however.

Final Appeal

If the judge does not side with you there is still a chance in the form of a SSA (Social Security Administration) Appeal. This appeals process before the board can take months to process completely. After a long process of deliberation and review a final verdict will be announced. If that decision is not in your favor, you are essentially out of luck.

If you or someone you know is disabled however, that is not usually the end result you will experience. People who truly cannot work to provide for themselves and their family will at some point typically be granted disability benefits. The benefits will even be retro reimbursed for up to a year before you first filed. That is the goal every MN disability lawyer has in sight for you when you first apply for social security disability assistance. The first step is to begin the application as soon as you can.

Small Business Consulting: Overcoming Client Denial

When working in small business consulting, your clients may ask, “Why do I need something as big and powerful as the network you’re recommending? We’re just a seven person company and our network works great, at least most of the time.”

“Sell” Fear

In this situation, to overcome denial, you often have to “sell” fear. Be ready to talk about a small business consulting client that trusted their PC-savvy bookkeeper so much, that the bookkeeper was covering her trails daily and able to embezzle $50K before getting caught during an annual audit by their CPA.

Only naïve clients believe in trusting every employee and for that matter every non-employee who has physical access to the building.

Get Clients Thinking about Security

In reality though, small business owners rarely think about IT security until it’s too late. Make sure you get your small business consulting prospects and clients thinking about how much access should be granted.

Get your prospects and clients thinking about sensitive files such as credit card numbers, social security numbers (in the U.S.), trade secrets, payroll data or annual employee reviews.

Determine Client Needs

When small business clients say they think your proposed client/server network is overkill, they might not be thinking of the big picture. That’s all the more reason to take the small business consulting client through a comprehensive initial consultation, needs analysis, IT audit and site survey.

Many times a small business owner might ask just for file sharing or e-mail. If you press further, however, you’ll discover they also really need a contact management system, group scheduling, network faxing, a company Intranet and secure, high-speed Web browsing from each desktop.

The Bottom Line about Small Business Consulting

If small business consulting clients insist they have no need for data security, you probably haven’t probed deeply enough. Find out where the client stores its client lists, proprietary pricing models, payroll forecasts, bonus calculations, credit card data and social security numbers.

Convert Denial Into Approval When Applying For Hamp Through Bank Of America

Your home is one of the most precious assets that you have. But what if, for one reason or another, you do not have enough funds to pay for your monthly mortgage anymore?

Fortunately, the federal government has initiated several programs and a lot of incentives for homeowners. The Home Affordable Modification Plan (HAMP), for example, is something that will allow you to qualify for a lower monthly payment through loan modification.

All you need to do is determine if you qualify for HAMP, submit an application with a loan servicer, ensure that your debt-to-income ration is at least 31% and undergo the income verification process and trial period.

Things to Remember when Applying for HAMP through Bank of America

Since the option to modify your loan through the HAMP program was introduced as part of President Barack Obama’s stimulus plan, a lot of homeowners lined up to take advantage of it. The problem is that if you are applying for the program through financial institutions like the Bank of America, there are a lot of instances when the application gets denied.

What if you’re already facing a foreclosure and your HAMP application through the Bank of America got denied? This is a scenario which is less-than-desirable – so in order to counteract the frustrations that you might feel during the process, here are a few things that you need to keep in mind:
1. Exercise a lot of patience during the application process.
Did you know that there are a lot of homeowners who applied for the HAMP loan modification program for two to more than five times? At one point or another, their reapplication got approved – although if you’re the impatient type, you may not reach this point as a result of being frustrated.

What’s important is to make sure that you are aware that it is possible to turn no into a yes – as long as you put your financial records in order to increase your chances of having HAMP approved the second, third, fourth or even fifth time around.

In relation to this, it would also help if you will treat the loan services with friendliness and patience – having the right attitude simply makes going through the process feel a lot better.

2. Make sure that all the necessary paperworks are in order.
One of the most common reasons why HAMP applications get denied in the first place is that applicants do not submit all the necessary paperwork. To increase your chances of getting approved, make sure to submit all the requirements needed for the income verification process.

3. Escalate your request from one level to another if you need to.
Again, as a result of the President Obama’s stimulus plan, financial institutions like the Bank of America got flooded with HAMP requests. So it is no wonder why a lot of applications end up getting denied. If this happens to you and you know that you qualify for the loan, don’t hesitate to escalate your request from one level to another. Make follow-up calls and learn about the loan application process inside out.

By keeping these tips in mind, you can go ahead and convert a denial into an approval when applying for a HAMP loan modification program through the Bank of America. There’s absolutely no sense in wasting all the months that you paid for your monthly mortgage to foreclosure, when there is something that you can do about it. Once the loan gets approved, you will have more borrower-friendly terms and find it easier to pay for your monthly mortgages.
