Well, thanks to a new program, government scholarships for moms, you can receive up to ,000.00 for this school year when you return to school.

However, a college degree can mean more to a mom than just more money in the bank.  When you have a degree, you tend to feel better about yourself. You have proven that you can achieve more than many other people.  This will also have a positive influence on your children.  Studies show that children who have one or both parents with college degrees will be much more likely to pursue higher education.

But of course there are other tangible benefits. For example, many jobs open up to you when you have that diploma in hand. You may also receive more company benefits such as health care, retirement and vacations. Promotions are more likely to come your way and you will experience job security.

There are many careers that currently do not have enough qualified applicants to fill them.  Job shortages abound in health care, the computer industry and education.  With a college degree you could fill one of those positions and provide well for your family and for your future.

It isn’t hard to receive a government scholarship.  The first step is to register at the FAFSA website. This is the Free Application for Federal Assistance.  You can complete your application and submit it with a click of your mouse.  Once you have done this, then it is time to research your new career and your college.

With the ,000.00 that you will be awarded, you can easily pay for your tuition, books and have money left over for other expenses such as child care and traveling to and from school.  If sitting in a traditional college classroom doesn’t appeal to you, I would suggest that you research online colleges and universities.  There are many now in existence and they offer full four year programs online.  These schools are growing in popularity and have become quite competitive which means they tuition is growing smaller.

You need to take advantage of your government scholarship today. You will never regret your decision.

How Mothers can Apply for Free Tuition under Obama’s Scholarship for Mothers Program, and Earn their Degree

Working mothers, single mothers, and mothers who dropped out of college previously, now have a great opportunity to apply for President Obama’s Scholarship for Mothers Program, to attend an institution of higher learning. This will offer single mothers, and other women, the chance to pursue a college degree, or complete one that they had already started, and never finished. The Scholarship for Mothers program announced as part of the stimulus package is available to residents, 18 years of age and over. It awards scholarship grants of ,000 annually, for up to four years to individuals, to pay tuition, books, and living expenses, and day care, etc

The Scholarship for Mothers program offers great benefits. The first benefit is the chance to earn a four year degree. Second, classes can be taken on line or on college campuses nationwide. Third, a college degree will give you the advantage to be promoted in your current job, or to switch to a higher paying job. Fourth, the greatest benefit is that these are not loans, but scholarships, and do not have to be repaid.

Applying for the Scholarship for Mothers grants is as easy as ABC. The first step is to find a college you want to attend. Apply to the college for admission, and once you meet the requirements of the college or university, the school will commence the financial aid process. You will be required to use the information from your current income tax return, to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Scholarships for Mothers program is a perfect opportunity for mothers, and women, to seize upon. You can attend college at home, and will not have to contend with the traffic, day care or after school issues for your children. The program still allows you to have a full time job, while you earn your degree. Scholarship for Mothers is a grant not a loan, and the government has also increased Pell Grant, (which is also free) to 50, for those with family incomes of 000 or less annually.

Do not let this opportunity pass you by. Return to school and either finish or start your college degree. With the Scholarships for Moms program, financial help is available for those who need it, with no maximum age limit, and it can also be used to enroll in community colleges, vocational training facilities, or in apprenticeship programs.
